Add DNS records

When you order a Pro List you need to add DNS records for your domain so that your list's emails get delivered to our Mailman servers.

Most commonly, adding the DNS records will be done on your web-hosting company's website. You'll need to login to your account on your web-hosting company's website and find a link to something like "Domain Manager", or "Custom DNS Records".

If you can't find where to edit your DNS records let us know. We've seen most types of setups and will be able to steer you in the right direction, or simply do it for you.

The information that needs to be entered into your new DNS records can be found in your Account under the link "DNS records".

Each web-hosting company will have it's own interface where you can manage your DNS records, but the principles are the same. Don't copy the data in the examples – the real data that you'll need is in your Account.

(3600 seconds = 1 hour)

Once your records have been added and have propagated around the world (which can take up to 3 hours) we can then create the SSL certificate for your sub-domain, plus add a key for one more record:

Although not absolutely essential for your list to function, this last record goes long way in preventing your list's emails getting tagged as spam, or discarded completely. So we encourage you to add it once your list is up and running.
